Conservation & Outdoor Health Support

Buckinghamshire Medical is exploring a small, collaborative pilot to support the health and wellbeing of people working in conservation, animal care, and outdoor or field-based roles.

We recognise that these environments can be physically demanding and sometimes remote. The aim of this pilot is to help identify health concerns early and provide clear, practical guidance on appropriate next steps, using a structured and clinically guided approach.

What this involves

  • Structured health assessments tailored to outdoor and conservation work
  • Clinically guided review of the information provided
  • Clear outcomes and practical recommendations
  • Advice, signposting, or escalation where appropriate
  • In-person or on-site support where needed and feasible

How this could work

This is intended as a light-touch, flexible pilot that complements existing practices rather than replaces them. It can be explored on a small and informal basis, shaped around the needs of individual teams or organisations.

Important information

This is not a formal occupational health service and does not involve ongoing medical management or contractual arrangements. The focus is on wellbeing, safety, and practical support.

If this approach feels aligned with the work you do, we’d be very happy to have an initial conversation to explore whether it could be useful in your setting.
